The capital of Switzerland, Zurich has a little over 400,000 residents and close to 2,000,000 people in the metropolitan area. With early settlements going back 6,400 years. Zurich regularly ranks in the top 25 for quality of life. I 100% believe that.
Old Town in Zurich is delightful. All the lovely, cobbled streets, the architecture, the shops and restaurants. Everywhere you look it's a feast for the eyes. Strolling these streets after dinner, especially by the water, is beautiful and relaxing. I can't wait to return.
Zurich is home to some of the most expensive shopping. In fact, Bahnhofstrasse is considered the most expensive street in the world, so buyer beware.
1. Pamper yourself silly at Hurlimannbad and Spa and enjoy the luxury of the Roman Irish bathing rituals. It's a day of solid bliss and should not be missed.
2. Experience the wonder of Mt. Titlis. You'll take a train, then a bus, then a cable car... but oh man is it worth it. Mountains as far as the eye can see. I went in December and the snow covered mountains were majestic. If you're a skier, you're gonna love this one. And if you're brave, step out on the Cliff Walk (a suspended bridge literally off the side of the mountain).
3. Take the Zurich Old Town Walking Tour. I stayed in Old Town and loved it. What a beautiful area.
4. If you're there in December, visit the central train station for one of the most incredible Kristkindlmarts you'll ever witness.
5. Indulge in some Swiss fondue while taking a tuk-tuk tour of the city.
6. Vist the Lindt Home of Chocolate Museum.
7. Zous White Water Rafting.
8. Take a walking food tour.
9. Join a pub crawl through the city.
10. Visit Rhine Falls

There were tons of great dining spots, but this quirky little restaurant called the Spaghetti Factory, with a chaos of artwork and stained glass and tiny cramped seating, was really wonderful. Hands down the best chicken caeser salad I've ever had. (I could eat that daily!)
