Titlis is pronounced Titless, as you've probably already joked about. Everyone does. Now that we have that out of the way... To get to Mt. Titlis you take a bus to the base town, a gorgeous little ski town named Engelberg. From there you take the cable cars up to the first landing, where you hop on the 360-degree spinning gondola. Both move slowly enough to get photos. And you do the same to get back down. Just be sure to catch that last gondola - it's frigid up there!
This is majestic ski country all the way. There were several skiers on the gondola with us and the mountain was fairly active. The views are stunning. We did the cliff walk and the ice room. Everyone is in great spirits up there. Maybe it's the air, maybe it's the beauty, I don't know, but it feels magical.
This is a no-brainer.
1. You take the cable cars and 360-degree panoramic gondola up to the top.
2. You take the cliff walk. (Don't worry, it's perfectly safe.)
3. You visit the ice cave.
4. You take videos and photos that won't begin to do this experience justice.
5. You ski a bit.
6. You take gondola and cable cars back to the base.

There's a little coffee shop in Engelberg diagonally across from the bus station. There are several but the one we went to was the only one still open. The hot chocolate was delish and warmed me right up. Make sure to save room for some goodies.
